Dr. Rothman explains the POST-Lasik procedure:

One immediately after your Lasik procedure, I will examine your eyes to make certain that everything has gone properly and smoothly, and everything is in proper position. Once I’ve examined your eyes you’ll be going home to rest. But, we ask you to do the first night after your procedure is to not watch any television, no reading, and actually we liked you to keep your eyes closed as much as possible. After that first night, you’ll find that your vision is going to be dramatically improved in the morning.

In most cases and when we examine you the next morning we’ll confirm your vision and make sure everything is as it should be. After that first visit which is pretty brief we’ll be seeing you at 1 week, 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, and 1 year after your procedure. The purpose of these visits is just to confirm that the vision is good, and then no further laser treatments are required. If your situation is different, we will adjust those post-operative visits to feature fit your specific needs.
